L2 IT Operations (Level 2 Support)
Orange Systems is the IT hub of Orange Moldova. An IT park resident, with over 850 employees, that delivers advanced IT solutions, enhancing a wide range of activities and full cycle development, impacting millions of customers across Europe.
Orange Systems is looking for a new colleague to fill in the position of L2 IT Operations (Level 2 Support) to work with our International Partners.
what you will be doing:
Incident and Request Handling:
- Resolve incidents that cannot be handled at the L1 level.
- Work on tickets escalated from L1 in systems like BMC, Jira, or other ITSM tools.
- Analyze and diagnose user and infrastructure-related issues.
System and Application Monitoring:
- Ensure the availability and functionality of IT systems.
- Respond to alerts from monitoring tools.
- Proactively monitor systems to prevent potential issues.
Error Resolution and Change Execution:
- Implement standard change requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, application, or database configuration issues.
System Administration:
- Manage server operating systems (Windows).
- Configure and administer corporate applications, databases, and servers.
- Handle user account management and access control.
User Support:
- Guide L1 technicians and provide them with solutions for common issues.
- Assist end-users with complex technical problems.
Documentation:
- Create and update knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure changes and incidents.
Escalation to L3:
- Escalate complex technical issues to L3 engineers or developers.
- Provide detailed logs and information for further analysis.
Security Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies (e.g., patch management, access control).
- Identify and address system vulnerabilities or threats.
Project Participation:
- Assist with the implementation of new technologies and IT projects.
- Test and deploy new solutions in coordination with other teams.
Data Analysis:
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring incidents.
- Generate performance and availability reports for management.
what we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluent English
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing concepts.
- DB: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server)
- Version Control Systems: Git (GitHub, GitLab);
- WEB servers: IIS;
- Monitoring tools: ELK;
- Strong knowledge of OS (Windows, Linux).
- Basic networking skills (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Database management and troubleshooting (SQL/NoSQL).
- Scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks like ITIL.
